What is the average daily mileage?

The longest day is the ride from Hopland to Mendocino, about 65 miles. The remainder of the days are between 40 and 50 miles.

What is the weather going to be like?

September weather in Northern California is generally warm and sunny. But there is always a slight chance of rain. Our best advice is to be prepared for changing weather conditions. Here are some weather statistics for September:

Where do we meet at the start of the trip?

We meet on Saturday morning in Rohnert Park, at the Doubletree Hotel. The Sonoma County Aiport Express Shuttle stops at the Doubletree, making it easy to get from the San Francisco or Santa Rosa aiport.

How do I get to the start?

The simplest way is to fly into San Francisco Airport and take the Sonoma County Airport Express to the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park. The Santa Rosa Airport is closer to Rohnert Park, but the number of flights into the airport is limited.

Where does the trip end?

The tour officially ends at the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park.

What should I bring?

Bicycle

Cycling Clothing

Cycling shorts, cycling jerseys, cycling socks, cycling shoes, gloves, helmet, wind jacket or vest, rain gear (jacket, pants, helmet cover, shoe covers), sunglasses. For colder weather: arm warmers, knee/leg warmers or tights, full fingered gloves, shoe covers, beanie.
